Working on your own files

You can let an operator work on files on your own computer, in folders you name. Nothing reaches into your machine — a small program you run makes one outgoing connection and waits.

Pairing a device

Open the Devices tab and choose Connect a device — Give it a name you will recognise later.

Copy the line it shows you — One line, with the pairing code already in it. Mac, Windows and Linux each get their own.

Paste it into Terminal on that computer — It downloads the agent, pairs it, and tells you how to keep it running. It installs nothing else.

Choose the folders — Back on the Devices tab, add the folders that operator may use. Until you do, it can read nothing.

What holds

It reaches only the folders you named — not the rest of the disk, and not through a shortcut pointing outside one.

One computer can serve several operators, each with its own folders. Neither inherits the other's.

Close the program, or disconnect from the screen, and access stops immediately.

Pairing codes last ten minutes. If yours expires, generate a new one — the old line will simply be refused.
